along these same lines, when I roll a number that hits my opponent and he picks up the hit checker for me, I object and tell him that I want to do this myself. I don't want his hand colliding with mine; I don't want to take the risk that he will pick up that checker and put is somewhere other than the bar; and I don't want to make the rest of the play forgetting, or not realizing, that I hit him with the first die. It's a terrible habit anyway, as some times I can come in off the bar without hitting and make a better play, and his picking up the blot might cause me to miss a better play; also, he hurts himself as I might miss the hit if he doesn't pick up the checker for me.

Bottom line is it YOUR responsibility to make sure your opponent doesn't move your checkers, doesn't fast roll, doesn't quickly pick up dice that he thought were cocked before you have agreed, etc. etc. Yes, it can happen once, but after that, it's your fault for not calling him on it.
