A weaker player will give up equity immediately but the game may still be more simple than desired later on.

Right. Opening 43U will gain more immediate error equity against almost anyone, but as it simplifies the game overall the stronger player should avoid it anyway.

The best chance for opening 43U to be employed is AGAINST a significantly stronger player, in order to gain a bit from immediate errors and simplify the game.

I also recall(not 100% sure), that while it still is close, 43U looks a bit worse with XG2 RO's than with some older bots.
