Are we supposed to be thinking about winning a backgammon?

No matter what, the shift-on-head looks best for winning the game and a gammon. So I start with 5/3*(3).

There was just this week an interesting position and forum discussion on GammonU about "double jeopardy" (is there a good online defintion of this? Tom?). I think that applies here. Rip the last.
