Why doesn't N denote 11/7* 8/4 6/2(2)? It hits, keeps the most points, and for the last 4, puts a checker closest to the 6pt (the 4pt is closer to the 6pt than the 9pt is).

Are you assuming that N couldn't possibly denote such a bad play?
