I work for a television company called TalkbackTHAMES. We produce programs like X-factor, Grand Designs and The Apprentice. We are currently working on the 2nd Series of Channel 4's hit program FOUR ROOMS.
The program is about people with rare, unusual or interesting items that come onto the program and pitch their items to four top UK dealers in the hope of making a sale.
This year, our dealers have suggested that they would like some vintage/historical gaming equipment specifically Backgammon and roulette tables. Something that once belonged to someone famous, or was part of a famous club, made by a leading company (Asprey,/ Gucci) or just an excellent example.
I'm approaching you in the hope that you can help me spread the word among backgammon enthusiasts that might have a set they'd be interested in bringing on the program. I've used your website as an excellent starting point and messaged a few of the societies but thought you might know a few more tricks to get the word out!!
I've attached two links for the program:
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/take-part/articles/new-series-of-four-rooms
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/four-rooms/episode-guide/series-1
Although I've primarily approached you to look for Backgammon Sets, if any of your members have anything else they might like to bring on the show, feel free to do so.
Thank you for your time
Kind regards,
Stephen Bath - Researcher
If anyone is interested I have the contact details.
