18-Match Winning Streak on GG; What's Your Longest Streak?

I have won 18 matches in a row on GridGammon. This streak is still alive. Maybe I am jinxing it by mentioning it, but I figure I can keep the streak going for another week by not playing. Gives me more time to enjoy it. What if a baseball player with a 40-game hitting streak told his manager he wanted to take a week off to enjoy his streak?

What is your longest winning streak? How many games in a row? How many sessions in a row? How many matches in a row?

Here is a question for some probabilist out there: If you play ten matches per day, how many years would it take before you have a 50% chance of winning 18 consecutive matches, assuming you are 50% to win each match?

Here are my words of wisdumb regarding this streak:

(1) It is nothing compared to Joe DiMaggio's two-part parlay: (a) He hit safely in 56 consecutive games and then (b) he married Marilyn Monroe. No one else will complete this parlay anytime soon.

(2) I really don't feel like I have been lucky to have this streak; I just feel unlucky when I do NOT win 18 in a row. I feel like I was way overdue to win 18 in a row.

(3) 18 is halfway to 36, so I figure I have a 50% chance of extending my streak from 18 to 36.

(4) Some people say the chance of winning 18 in a row (assuming each is 50%) is 1/18; others says it is 1/262,144. The difference between these two numbers is quite small (roughly 0.05), so I say it does not really matter whether you think it is 1/18 or 1/262,144.

(5) Winning 18 matches in a row is about as unlikely as winning three tournaments in a row, where each tournament is single elimination with 64 players in the draw.

(6) I feel I am very unlucky that this streak occurred when not playing for money, instead of happening over the summer when I played someone a bunch of 7pters for 1,000 euros per match and broke even.
