recube action -- stack and straggler

How do you analyze this quickly? As I understand the trice method, formula is 3.5 x # of checkers for white, plus 16 pips for the straggler. (I'm not sure if the straggler also counts for 3.5.) That yields either 41.5 or 44 for white. Red has 37 plus some wastage, but it seems like the wastage would have to be really high for red to pass, especially at score.
