A. In general, there is nothing wrong with making a premature double if you think your opponent will make an error. I don't think this is an exception, but -- as always -- you do it at your own risk.

B. What should you do if you give your opponent wrong information that leads him to double you prematurely? First of all, apologize. Then, if you still feel horribly guilty and want to atone for your sins, drop his double.

C. It's hard to imagine someone doing this on purpose.
