I agree Steve, and that's how one should always do business. I have been screwed in the past for not getting it in writing, but it was all personal stuff so I was the only one who suffered. However, when other people are involved and can be affected, you have a big responsibility... so if it was never in writing then there never should have been a tournament.

Unusual that I could not find anywhere in the propaganda for this event, the name of the sponsor, specifically who was guaranteeing the $100,000 which is something we normally see in the advertising of such guaranteed events; the propaganda is at these two links:

Very unfortunate for the players who attended and my heart goes out to them.
