The example below may help clarify the use of K for some people:
With Blue to play 54:
54S-63H-63H-64H-54
K = Bar/20* 22/18*
k = Bar/20* 8/4*Likewise, if you change the roll to 52:
K = Bar/20*/18*
k = Bar/20* 6/4*Both plays hit twice, including a hit on the 20pt. Hitting the second blot on the 18pt earns the capital letter because the 18pt is higher than the 4pt.
