Nactation question 02

Mochy, I hope this helps. In the nacbracs below, double quote (") means XG2, circumflex (^) means XG 4-ply, and lower case e means "eval." Thus, "^e is an XG2 4-ply eval.

In the C (Cross) family, there are no hitting plays, and no plays that make (or surrender) any points. The entire family is ranked based solely on the destinations of blots and spares.
When comparing blots and spares, only the checkers that are moved in a play are considered. Other blots and spares are irrelevant.
When a roll of non-doublets is played so as to create two new blots or spares neither of which is in the outer board, then the blots and spares that are closest to the 6pt are compared first. Here, we can decide the ranking without considering the blots in the back quadrant. Their positions would matter only if there were a tie between one of the blots in the home board.

Once again, the issue is decided solely based on the destinations of blots in the inner board. They are the ones in each position that are closest to the 6pt.
