I composed these comments a day or two ago but forgot to post them.
1. We've escaped all our checkers, which might suggest caution, but this is a money game with the cube turned and White has a blot in her board. The race is even so we'd rather not let White turn this into a race. I go for the blitz. 13/7 6/3*.
2. Blue has nine checkers in the zone and has split his back checkers, while White has no new points made. However, White is not on the bar, so I think the take is clear. At the same time I think the double is clear too. Plenty of hitting numbers and market losers and even if Blue doesn't hit, he's doing well. D/T.
3. The only two candidates I would consider here would be making the 2pt and making the 3pt. In favor of making the 2pt is the fact that it leaves no blots and uses the spare checkers that we want to use. On the other hand, the 2pt and the 8pt are six apart and so don't work too well together, and of course the 3pt is a much better point to own. It looks like a fairly close decision, but I'll go with the 2pt because leaving a blot on the 8pt seems like too much of a concession. It gives White 8 return shots from the bar, including several good 6's.
