1/ 4a-2a cube turned, gammon value 1 for us and 0 for him. I won't leave my anchor with that roll since the race is close. 13/6 would be my play.

2/ same score and same cube position. I don't think the hitting gain enough gammons to be justified. Play safe 6/1 6/5

3/ Same score but now the cube is in the middle. I'm behind in the race. He has a big lead in development. That's for the big picture and the strategy : develop my position. if the cube has been turned I would play something like 8/4 6/3 or 6/5, because I don't fear a gammon. here I would play 13/9 13/10 because connectivity is not a big concern with such a race deficit. That leaves only 11 shots and creates a lot of point making numbers.
