The bots' numbers are nearly the same. So is the explanation, as Stick wrote. Since Blue owns the cube, the gammonish play probably does win about 5% more gammons but, contrary to the "cubeless" game breakdown, it doesn't really lose 5.2% more games. After the gammonish play and a hit, most of the extra cubeless losses that Blue might indeed suffer if Blue could never cube, aren't really lost cubefully, since Blue wins them with a double/pass.
