Make sure the latest Adobe Flash is installed. You can get it here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ . Remember to unclick the "Install McAfee Scan Plus" option or it will install unwanted software. Restart your browser after.

To run with the add-ons disabled in firefox you can do this by pulling down the Firefox "help" menu. Select menu item "Restart with add-ons disabled". When restarting a box will pop up. Don't put checks in any of the boxes presented., simply click the "Continue with SafeMode" button. Now try yahoo Mail. To get add-ons back simply restart the browser
