Yahoo chat in yahoo mail Stick, -OT

tried restart w add ons disabled- computer did not shut off and/or restart-still not working.. when i click an online contact in yahoo mail-on bottom screen says javascript -but, does not open.. if i were going 2 uninstall flash and reinstall from site-would i delete the 1 that says active x, or one that says w plugins ? tried about:config- computer had warning sign not to void warranty or im proceeding w caution- didn't try that???
