The Crew was not amused. "Hitting is clear." "That is classic Magriel." "You have to go for a second checker." They yelled, as if not hitting was a clear error. The captain had a rule of thumb. Rolling the prime until only the acepoint was open, to avoid accidents, and then going for a second checker. Hitting open on the acepoint would leave him only two spares to roll the prime forward. What, if he had to close the acepoint? What if he couldn't close the twopoint? So he took the bird in his hand, rollin on.
Rollin on seems here right. But it is not only the homeboard, but also builder distribution and accidents. And the margin between the plays isn't high. So, even if rollin isn't right in some positions, you loose not so much. So i will keep on rollin. Stodgy.
