Backgammon apps for Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet

Are there any good backgammon apps on the Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet?

There are only two listed in the official Barnes & Noble app store:

Backgammon by Agile Fusion

Backgammon Pro V by ZingMagic Limited

Like the iPad, the nook is a closed environment. Apps can only be purchased/downloaded from Barnes & Noble. However, previous versions of the nook (such as the NOOK Color) have been “rooted,” thus turning them into open Android systems. Is rooting a good option for backgammon players?

(And please don’t say that rooting is only for kibitzers! That’s my joke.)
