Total Match Points ("TMP") is a measure of activity. Examples for one player: (1) You play one match to 9 points. You have 9 TMP. (2) You play 3 matches to 5 points, 10 matches to 9 points, and 5 matches to 17 points. You have 3*5 + 10*9 + 5*17 = 190 TMP.
System TMP is the sum of individual TMP for all players in a rating system. Below, total TMP for DBgF-rated matches 1999-2011 with the percentage change from the previous year:
Year TMP % +/- 1999 284,750 n.a. 2000 349,610 +22.8% 2001 322,080 -7.9% 2002 401,858 +24.8% 2003 386,096 -3.9% 2004 419,184 +8.6% 2005 335,788 -19.9% 2006 291,650 -13.1% 2007 280,950 -3.7% 2008 266,114 -5.3% 2009 268,192 +0.8% 2010 229,748 -14.3% 2011 217,932 -5.1%
