What do you have in mind when you say, "Stick's Golden Rule"?

I'd have to agree with Chuck's assessment of the article that Stick linked to. That's not a golden rule that I'd want to adhere to.

A variant rule that I might agree with would be something like, "Never allow your emotions to distract you from doing what you know is the right thing."
