What and why?

I'm inclined to play 20/16 20/15 here. If White rolls large enough to scoot past without hitting, then we gain because we haven't wasted pips in the race (we wouldn't want to stay back in those variations anyway because the race is close and the chances of hitting a shot are minimal). If White rolls small then we get a double shot at her straggler. Of course, the downside is that White can hit with 12 rolls. However, as compensation, we usually get a shot at her home-board blot.
What else is there? There's 20/11, and there's 9/5 8/3. 9/5 8/3 is of course safe, but since we're behind in the race, I think we need to bid more aggressively for contact. If White doesn't roll something that safeties her blot then she can just wait because there's no pressure on her straggler. 20/11 is interesting. I think, though, that it doesn't gain as much as 20/16 20/15. White's small rolls seem to play O.K.; sometimes she can point on us and other times she can hop her straggler over our outfield checker, leaving us with not many shots.
