I read the other replies and agree with them. In general when your opponent's board is so strong the overriding factor is going to be minimizing shots. The next factor in line after the minimization of shots is the number of blots. Even though hitting leaves two less immediate shots, 12 compared to 14 with 10/3, it leaves 2 blots instead of one jacking up your gammon losses. Lastly, the point you want to clear in this position to make it easier to bring is the one furthest away, aka the 10pt. 10/3 should be clear here or I really do need to hop back in bed.
