Denver Final

Congrats to Neil Kazaross and Richard Munitz for making the final and to Richard for the win.

I've entered the match into Snowie and forwarded the file to Neil and Richard so we'll hopefully be seeing some commentary soon from Neil.

They both got off to fairly shaky starts, according to Snowie, though that wasn't really apparent to the viewing audience. However, the play down the stretch was superb excepting one huge pass blunder by Richard -- but he had a huge lead so perhaps understandable to pass when uncomfortable with a position.

Anyway, it was a fun, fast, and entertaining match with much chatter/commentary exchange between the two -- the sound quality with the new camera is amazing (you can hear the dice rattling in the cups and bouncing on the board in addition to all the board talk and occasional kibbitzing). Neil played at near world class and Richard a bit higher. Richard was +10 in the luck rating which is reflected in the score. Neil had the misfortune of falling behind big early and then having to play somewhat more aggressively to get back in the match -- sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't; this time it didn't.
