Problem with xg font

Has anyone used the XG font and succeeded in displaying the board with the top left quadrant pips numbered 24 through 19 ?

The soft hyphen is the character used for the top label with numbers 24-19 in the eXtremeGammon ttf font. Could this be the problem ? Soft hyphens carries with it semantics (that are optional for browsers to follow according to the html specs). If a browser interprets soft hyphens it must add a hyphen if a line is broken at the soft hyphen, if the line is not broken at the soft hyphen, it must not display a hyphen.
