Consider the three cube decisions below. Suppose Blue (incorrectly) takes in each case. How bad an error is it?
Well, in each case, dropping leaves Blue trailing 3-away Crawford, and taking (and recubing immediately) plays out the game for the match. So it's exactly the same decision in each case, and Blue throws away exactly the same amount of MWC in each case. But if you plug the positions into your favorite bot, you'll see that it reports wildly differing EMG errors for the three different situations.

I don't think this third position can be reached with sensible play, but it still illustrates Jeremy's point.
