Chosing a backgammon board

I have made a screensaver behaving like a slideshow with "Byrds" as background music.

Somewhat lengthy.

You can read and/or print the lines below explaining or questioning the pictures. I would be happy to hear remarks or reccomendations.

A showcase on the example of 3 models. An S50 Jumbo with brown suede fabric field; an S40 brown and black points creme suede printed field with Standard locks and soft handle, an SB41 green and brown points on cream printed field with combination locks and swivel handle.

Handmade Svilo boards are unique. Every boards is made according to the checker. Every model has specific checker diameter and thickness.

Board lenghth should be at least 12 checker diameters.

Hinges interfere with checkers on the bar. Svilo boards are hingeless.

Open board height should be at least 3 checkers deep. All svilo boards are at least 3 chekers deep.

Svilo dice cups are 10 cm high - the legth of a business card.

Thick checkers are 1.2 cm. thick. 7 of them measure about 10 cm.

Protection corners protect cases on the most sensitive places - the corners.

A tricky 33 to play. (from bgonline forums). Duplication of aces. Two 5 points started sometimes are more than one made:)

Doubling cubes 15 and 10 mm. Different colors.

Standard dice 14and 15 mm. Different colors.

Handles - Hard, Soft, Swivel. The bending handle is not shown here. Hard handles feel good. Swivel handles feel good and save space. Soft handles save most space, are heavy duty and are easy to repair.

Standard and combination locks. Standard locks are heavy duty and combination locks are secure.

All Svilo boards contain the precious leather Svilo dice cups. All Svilo dice cups have (thick) bull lips and a bottom bumper. Some Svilo cups are ribbed inside.
