In his story about the tournament in Cleveland, Stick tells us that he asked Dmitriy, his opponent in the finals, his PR but never got an answer.
I am able to answer Stick's question. Dmitriy recorded nine of his singles and two of his doubles matches last weekend in Cleveland. I entered the matches into XG's account manager. In the nine singles matches, his PR was 3.69. If the two doubles matches are also included, his PR was 3.57.
Dmitriy will make these matches available.
Dmitriy's PR of 3.7 in live play is certainly better than the average live PR of quite a few of those on the Giant-32 list. It is definitely better than any other Michigander's PR, with the possible exception of Frank Talbot.
A funny thing happened last year. An eight-person team was selected to represent Michigan against Ohio's team. Although Dmitriy was not invited, some of those selected to be on Michigan's team play with a PR more than twice as high as Dmitriy's.
Wonder how many more years it will be before Dmitriy is invited to play on Michigan's eight-person team?
