Just in case you or someone else didn't pick up on it, the first paragraph from the article states that the interview took place on April Fool's Day, although they obviously didn't frame it that way.

I've also been informed elsewhere that a 'non-deterministic Turing machine program' was used. Non-deterministic Turing machines are incredibly powerful computers, but the catch is they are purely theoretical, they cannot be built.

I have no idea what that means by the way....
