In Response To: GS, GG or DMP move?! - RO, DMP move (Daniel Murphy)

The clue to the position here, is apparently the access to the cube.
Often times, while talking about score-based decisions, I hear players making comparisons to GG,GS or DMP. I am not saying there is no correlation but again something I personally never thought of is: GG and GS are as cubeless as DMP. Obviously, isn't it?!
In this type of position, I thought it would be correct to pay later (or less now), because of the centered cube. I'd think, paying now (or more) would be the play if the cube was on the other side, but alas all those theories are wrong.
I see big conceptual similarities between the position posted here and the one posted by Benf (next thread, position 1). It would be interesting to have rollouts for both of them side by side for different scores, e.g. GG,GS,DMP and money and investigate, whether one general theory can identify the correct move in both positions.
