Blue on roll, cube action?

Barring a roll of doublets or a miss, Blue and White both have 4 rolls remaining. Because White has one more checker off, he can afford to miss once, and still be off in 4 rolls. Blue cannot. The first time Blue rolls a non-doublet 2x, he’s OK. He can bear off 2 checkers. The second roll of 2x, however, will cost him a turn, and likely the game. Otherwise, doublets (except 11 and 22) play equally well for both players.

This looks like an easy cube, if only the tyro knew to flip it. The take is tempting, but wouldn’t the expert rather be up (or down) –3–5, rather that risk being down –5–C?
