new bearoff database

I was wondering if anyone was aware of the new bearoff database described in Backgammon Village magazine invented by Douglas Zare? There is a free edition to be downloaded and a more extensive version available for $15.If anyone has it, I wonder what the reviews are. I have not tried it as yet, but it looks as though it will be very helpful.
