1. White has an advanced anchor and we are still sitting on the 24pt. Plus we have the stronger board. To me, that screams out 24/18 for the 6. Then it's a question of whether we can afford to be wild with 6/5 or whether we should play the more mundane 24/23. 6/5 duplicates 2's so I think we can afford it.

2. White now has an extra spare on her 8pt, which is usually a pretty strong deterrent against our leaving a blot on her bar point. Not to mention that a tenth checker in the zone gives White more powerful attacking chances (killer doublets among other thing). We probably have to play 13/7 8/7 or 13/6 here.
