Number 1

Blue’s board is 2,5 points stronger than white’s and he has a strong diversification, 33/36 cover or hit. Although position 2 indicates that Stick took, I would say a clear DP.

Number 2

Since taking in position 2 things went rather well for Stick. Blue has to play 51 while being the trailer in the race. Being the trailer suggest that blue should keep his midpoint and create attackers in case white tries to escape. 8/7 6/1 seems the most suited, playing something risky like 13/12 in the hope to make the 10- or 9-point seems to risky because of the strong white board.

Number 3

This is a one-man-back situation where blue has some threats to make the bar-point. The normal doubling window for a one-man-back lies within a 0 to 10 pip racelead. So at equal score this would be a borderline No Double/Double, thus the score will make it a Double. The threat of blue making the bar-point is not killing for white since he can still try to escape with 26,36,35.
