In Response To: Irregardless or Irregardlessly? (Paul Weaver)

I almost chimed in to acknowledge that 'irregardless' wasn't ... kosher I guess. It seems to be an accepted word now though most who say it don't know what they're doing and then it gets passed on and repeated. The 'correct' word choice would be regardless.

I'm responding to everyone and not Paul who clearly has an idea irregardlessly of what he says. Esp. the non native speakers who probably hear the word and it makes sense in theory so they add it to their repertoire.
