Microsoft Word Question

In Response To: Microsoft Word Question (Paul Weaver)

Using the Monte Carlo Font or extreme gammon font in word, the easiest way to send the dcoument to someone not having the font is to save the file as a PDF (Assuming you have word 2007 or more recent), to do so, just use "save as" and pick PDF in the file type. The recipient cannot, however, edit the file.

PDF embed the font data (the subset needed for the document) so it will be usable by anyone on any OS.

PS: I hope you know you can use XG to generate diagram using export>>position to clipboard and use the "publication" mode.

XG font is free to download from www.extremegammon.com/font.aspx so you can sent the doc(x) file to your friend and just give him the link to install the font.
