That may be true, though they would only be given the one cumulative PR number with no details of the component factors or contributing plays.
Much as a player might adapt play in a score-based match because he/she is way behind or way ahead in the score; I would think the same may be true in relation to PR. If one trails hugely in a pure PR-based match, where score means nothing, might they in some manner try to complicate the game to perhaps encourage or induce errors by the opponent? Similarly, as an example, if one trails hugely in PR in a match where both score and PR are critical, might they decide to forsake PR, to a degree, and focus solely on winning the match? Or vice versa?
I don't claim to know the most appropriate answer but I think it a good discussion to have prior to the event. If cumulative PR's are quasi-instantaneously available at the end of each game of a match wherein PR is a factor in one's advancement in the bracket, should they be made available? Similarly, we do know the score at each interval in score-based matches.
