White is Player 2 score: 0 pip: 154 Unlimited Game Jacoby pip: 161 score: 0 Blue is Player 1 XGID=----BbD-B---dE---d-e----B-:0:0:1:32:0:0:1:0:10 51S-42P-43@-32 What is the proper thought process for an early game position such as this? Surely, Blue must split. That much is given. But should he try S = Split (24/21 13/11) or Z = Reverse split (24/22 13/10)? And what about the safer E = Each (24/21 6/4) and e = each (24/22 6/3)? Have you any tips for working this through over the board? Mike
