Here is an example:
I am 8a4a. What is Gammon Price on a 4cube?
If I win a single game, score is 4a4a 50%
If I loose a single game, match is over 0%
If I win a gammon match is over 100%
Gammon Price is [100-50]/[50-0]=1
This was a simple one and didn't require any number memorization.
Here is another example:
11a6a What is Gammon Price on a 2cube? Numbers in brackets are from MET.
If I win a single game, score is 9a6a [33.21%]. NN9 is 5 2/3, thus 50-3*5 2/3=33%
If I loose a single game, score is 11a4a [14.6%]. NN11 is 5, thus 50-7*5=15
If I win a gammon, score is 7a6a [43.72%]. NN7 is 6.5, thus 50-1*6.5=43.5
Using numbers in brackets from MET Gammon Price is: [43.72-33.21]/[33.21-14.6]=10.51/18.61=0.565
Using Neil's Numbers Gammon Price is: [43.5-33]/[33-15]=10.5/18=0.583
