Of all the advice given so far, I like lenny's "metagame" comment best. If you let them annoy you then they've already won. The challenge here is not to find the ultimate put-down. The challenge is to conquer your own emotions so that you feel no urge to put them down.

Getting annoyed is an error; allowing your annoyance to manifest itself is a whopper. Keep your error rate down.
