How do you deal with obnoxious strong players?

I find Falafel's post refreshing. Especially that he feels you can sometimes learn from weaker players. I believe that in martial arts, for example, it is considered that higher grades can learn from practising with lower grades, rather than simply always the other way round. Sensei Falafel, who must be something beyond a 5th Dan at his art, can surely charge the higher rates for private tuition. Most of us should be grateful for free training from him. (BTW, the coloured belt system now used in many martial arts, and started in Judo, was taken by it's founder, Dr Jigoro Kano, from the ranking system of the game of Go.)

I'm glad that DaveT posted his message. It reminds any of us who might have offered unsolicited advice - or ever thought about doing so - that some people just like to play. And there's nothing wrong with that!
