In #2, blitz 9/4(2) 7/2*(2) would not have appealed to me. I'd want White to crash, and not want White to have that barred checker to play with fairly freely (plus the two on the eight point) while he continues with his ace point game. Admittedly, it's not much of a game, but the blitz play gives him some timing and the open 3 point is a glitch in the bear-in and -off.

The answer is easy if you take it logically. Why don’t we both just sleep on it tonight, and I believe in the morning you’ll begin to see the light. I hope my meaning won’t be lost or misconstrued.
