Daily Quiz 4/19: No takers again

1. I'd take this as White. Both sides have four-point boards, White is at the edge of Blue's prime, and has a big race lead. Blue has good, but not complete, control of the outfield. In a chouette I'd definitely double this, expecting some drops, but technically I'm not sure. Probably a double even technically speaking, is my guess.

2. Using one's last 6pt spare to hit on the 1pt is a bit ugly, but White is poised to make significant progress with almost any roll. I would hit 6/1*, primarily for tempo reasons. We do have White outboarded 3 points to 1 after all.

3. We're behind in the race so that would seem to suggest staying back, but if we don't run the back checkers, what are we going to do? Give up the midpoint? Dump checkers in our board? I think we need to run. 24/20 is the 4 and then I slightly prefer 20/15 to 21/16 because it duplicates White's 3's. Summary: 24/15.
