Almost all of the time I say something like I did here, this is basically a no skill position, I have played it out a fair amount of times at least. Have you? To me it doesn't feel like there are any real decisions. If you do play it out and find something that isn't a next feel free to post it.

The reason there isn't often a choice of whether to stay back or run is because you won't have any sixes left because all your men are in your home board so you're forced to run whether you want to or not. Also, since your men are in your home board quickly, you will also run with 5s rather than waste and trash up your board. I'm not going to try to cover all situations that arise in this one paragraph so don't bother posting positions where you do stay, with one checker for example, because the opp. has a handful of shot leaving numbers. Again, these plays are obvious.

When I asked what you would do or should do against XGR+ to maximize your winning chances I wasn't suggesting you should practice that way. I think for the most part in practice you should try to make the technically best bot v. bot decision. It is good to think about so that OtB it will be natural for you. (often)
