1. A 3pt holding game with only a small race deficit is normally a take. Here, Blue's compact, flexible position means that White's shot potential isn't very good. White could also crunch prematurely. Still, White's racing vig should be enough for a clear take. The double I'm less sure about. The position isn't very volatile and we'll regret doubling if White rolls 66 at some point. In practice, though I'd double in a chouette because some will drop.

2. This looks pretty scary for White with serious gammon danger, but Blue fails to cover with 64 62 44 42 22, and even if Blue covers, White has future shot potential. Might be too optimistic but I'd take here. D/T.

3. Blue has ten checkers in the zone and has completely escaped a back checker, but White is sheltered away on Blue's 2pt and has made her 4pt. Should still be an easy take. I wouldn't double if White had her 5pt instead of her 4pt but here I'm inclined to double.
