By the way, David, there was a certain player in Chicago who had been barred from the tasty downtown chouette by a certain feared player. That feared player went to jail (and another player who had threatened to "make him disappear from the face of the earth" had left town). So the certain player asked me onw night at the Bar Point if it was true that Player A was in jail, and Player B hadn't been seen in years? I said it was true. And he asked if (Players C through L) still played. I confirmed that most if not all of the ten were regulars. I could see the wheels turning as his mind processed this, and when those wheels stopped turning his train of thought had pulled into Station Downtown Chouette.

"Maybe I'll stop by one of these days. Are you playing tomorrow?"

I told him it was likely. The next day he walked into Jays, a big smile on his face, which faded when he spotted ... you and I playing heads up.

"Playing?" I asked.

"Um, no, still not feeling well. Just dropped by to say hello."
