a) Would you attend more tournaments if there were fewer tournaments in the calender?

1. I think this question misses the point about the proliferation problem. It isn't that too many events keep people from playing in any of them at all; it is that they have to choose among so many, if they are only going to attend a certain number, say, four a year. This results in fratricide as the tourneys compete for this player's limited money, and time away from work and other concerns.

b) Would fewer tournaments in the calender year lead to greater attendance

X, related to answer above. What does this mean? If you mean per tournament, quite possibly yes, but if you mean overall numbers, no.

c) Should tournament entry be "cappped"? E.g., 64 players only

1*. *Masters and other JPs, fine to cap, but the Open, Intermediate, and of course the Novice, no. Nobody wants to travel a long distance just to play in some tiny "overflow" section!

d) Would you attend more tournaments if the entry fees were much larger

1. I wish the organizers of the Playboy Million all the best...from this distance.
