As a general rule of thumb, one plays safe when winning and plays boldly when losing. White is winning here and should have some concern for the really bad sequences when her 7pt blot gets hit and she dances. If she cleans up with 7/3 then Blue may self-destruct of his own accord.

On the other hand, 20/16 isn't that awful either since White has the better board and Blue has a blot in her home board.
