For reference, here is (money) data on 54S-53:

One of the position pairs in Backgammon Openings is 54S-42-31 plus 54S-64P-31. Paul and I considered adding 54S-53P-31 as a footnote diagram but decided that 54S-53 is too big an error (and almost nobody plays it these days).

Key: H = Hit (13/5*), P = Point (8/3 6/3), S = Split (13/8 24/21), K = Kill (8/5* 6/1*). Explanation of nacbracs.
