My dmp play is certainly coming to the edge of the prime, making the 5pt, and covering the 2pt. I didn't address exactly how many gammons each play loses I just felt making the anchor now lost a lot less. I gave it less thought than I would have OtB because Rory said in his original post 'top 2 plays are close' so that gave away what they were and that the decision would be based on something else. That's why you should just zip it and post the problem in general.

I don't think it would be hard to estimate gammons lost after making the 22pt anchor. It would be harder I think to estimate the gammons of the other play. I'm also sure the difference in single wins is staggering as the dmp play seems more than clear to me. With the 1:1 trade off at gammon save it must make it close.
