Getting to setup mode in XG?

An XG question:

I import and analyze a match. I find a position or cube decision that I want to tinker with, changing the score or moving some checkers around. The easiest way I have found to get to setup mode is cntl-c (copy) and cntl-v (paste). I am then in setup mode and can tinker away. Is this the best way?

A downside is that the match history to that point is lost. So you need to save the whole match first.

Is there a way to enter setup mode, but preserve the match to that point?

I'm really looking for a quick way to enter setup mode...
